Hadrian, 117-138. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 2.81 g, 6 h), a contemporary imitation of an issue from Rome, irregular, after 126. HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS Laureate head of Hadrian to right, with slight drapery on his left shoulder. Rev. COS III Virtus standing front, head to right, placing her left foot on helmet, holding scepter in her right hand and parazonium in her left. Cf. BMC 359, Cohen 353 and RIC 851 (for prototype). Minor flan crack, otherwise, very fine.
